CONFIRMATION
Confirmation ministry is an educational ministry which prepares young people to make a public affirmation of faith. The service of Confirmation is an event that occurs within the context of a worship service when prepared students make their first public affirmation of faith.
At Our Saviour Lutheran Church, Confirmation ministry begins with First Communion instruction followed by three years of catechetical (faith and life) training prior to the Day of Confirmation when confirmands profess their faith publicly. Confirmation ministry is grounded in grace sourced in the sacrament of Baptism.
